Granite Countertops, Why I Love Them?

I'm a huge fan of granite countertops because they can really add a big appeal to your kitchen and bath.

Anyone who has seen granite countertops, agrees that it can definitely be a head turner. If you want to have a unique look for your kitchen, you'll love the colors and tones of these countertops.
It's important to look at several options before deciding to purchase. There are tons of colors, tones, and shades so check them all out before you come into a conclusion.

Are you a beginner when it comes to buying upgrades for your home? There are several suggestions on how to choose your next granite countertop. You may want to take note and remember most of it.
Have an Idea but no way to show it. Take pictures of your kitchen. Allow yourself a few minutes to look at all the countertop designs.

If they are the designs and shades that you like, then get that granite or choose the one that suites your needs.

The granite countertop that you will get will be marvelous.

Unless you are only having a small granite countertop installed, you are going to have a seam in the countertop. As seams are inevitable, it is more important that you hire an experienced granite fabricator who knows how to keep seam visibility low. Be sure to ask how long the fabricator has been in business. Keep in mind, it is acceptable to buy the granite slab in one location and have the work done by someone else.

Selecting the wrong edge for your granite countertop. While some might say there is no such thing as the wrong edge, you may want to keep the following in mind: bullnose edges look great with traditional cabinets; flat or beveled edges work will with modern-styled kitchens and if you have small children you will want to use smooth or bottom edges to reduce the risk of them getting hurt.

You may want to prevent spilling of granite countertops by utilizing the right countertop. It will be sealed and will prevent stains on your countertop. If you've chosen white, grey, or light colored granite countertops, they will be prone to stains.

But if you've chosen darker tones, then they will not be as visible as the light colored granite. In addition, should you prepare veggies/meat on your granite countertop, do be sure to use a cutting board or mat.

Not because a knife will damage the granite, but because it will damage your knife!
Don’t choose a drop-in sink! This will disrupt the flow of your granite countertop and makes cleaning the countertop more difficult.

It's hard to argue that Granite countertops play a big role in countertops. It's elegant and useful. I would like to end this article by saying that I've done my best to share what I know about these granite countertops. Now it's time for you to take action and start renovating your home.
